Bringing desserts to a party with lots of people can present many challenges. Maybe someone is vegan, lactose intolerant, can’t have gluten, allergic to nuts, etc.
Or maybe the challenge is with you, who have been tasked with bringing desserts. Perhaps you’re not an experienced baker and have no dessert equipment, but you want to do better than a store bought pies.
Here’s a dessert that will solve all of the above problems. These beauties are called tako, a traditional Thai layered coconut pudding that is a favourite of many Thai people, myself included. As a bonus, they are dairy-free, vegan, gluten free, very easy, require no special equipment, and of course, very tasty.
But these aren’t the traditional tako, because they have been turned upside down! Watch the video below and you’ll see what I mean!
