Sawaddee Ka 🙏🏼
It’s the beginning of a new era, one I’ve been impatiently waiting for: Hot Thai Kitchen 2.0!
If you’ve seen my latest video (below) you will notice that it is very different. We’re changing up the show format!
I’ve been sharing cooking videos for 13 years (that number still shocks me). And I have been itching to shake things up, to keep up with the times and to keep me challenged and excited.
So here's the "new"Hot Thai Kitchen that I hope will be more engaging, informative, and just as entertaining. There are things to be worked on, of course, as this video is my “first day on the job,” but I am happy with it overall, and hope you are, too.
A part of me is mourning some parts of the old, but it was time to move on for many reasons and I’m excited about the new direction!
Rad Na - A hidden gem of Thai street food
The first recipe of HTK 2.0 is a new and improved version of a suuuper old one. (Here’s the old one if you want to see 9-years-younger Pailin.) Rad na is ubiquitous in Thailand, but underrated here.
When I was a kid, we were regulars at a restaurant that specialized in rad na, pad see ew (a cousin of rad na so they’re often sold together), and for some strange reason, pork satay. You know how most people have a fond memory of a restaurant because it’s associated with childhood joy? This was mine.
A new book to help you cook sabai-sabai
My new book is now available for pre-order! SABAI is a collection of my best weeknight-friendly recipes to help you make Thai cooking a “regular thing.”
This book represents a lot of hard work to create something that can really help you cook Thai food with ease and confidence. I thank you in advance in support of my work! 🙏🏼
Great … a new cookbook .. your first one was my introduction to the Thai cuisine .. best book about Thai cuisine so far. Looking forward to buy the new book. Compliments also to your new show format … very good video production and very informative.. keep on the good work.
Greetings from Germany
